Why are we changing the Eat Well, Do Well program?

The core program, $5 for 5 visits, was out of date and honestly not worth it. Plus, many of our long-time members could no longer use multiple accounts on one check. We needed to change it.


What is the new program?

Diner Perks is Silver Diner’s new rewards program for the entire family where you can earn points and rewards for what you eat. You will receive free food, exclusive offers, birthday rewards, and other surprises (some restrictions may apply). Up to five people, plus you, can share one family account. Plus, Diner Perks has a special program for children 12 years and younger, so they can earn perks too!


How is Diner Perks different?

Our goal was to make the program simpler and the rewards more accessible to more members. Here is a comparison of the programs:

USING DINER PERKS

  • You earn 1 point for every $1 spent on food when you dine in, order carry out or order online at SilverDiner.com.  Just check in with your mobile app, phone number or smart wallet to earn your points. You will earn points when the check is paid and closed. We’re sorry you cannot earn points on alcohol, gift cards, delivery fees or tips.

    Plus, you can earn points other ways: double point days, challenges, streaks and referrals. And if you accumulate 500 points in a calendar year, you are automatically upgraded into our Chrome tier where you receive extra perks.

  • You can check in by mobile app, smart wallet (like apple pay on your phone) or your registered phone number. We will no longer have physical cards.  

  • You unlock a reward every time you accumulate 150 points. You can choose from a selection of free appetizers, entrees and desserts that rotate every season. Your points reset every time you unlock a reward.

  • Here is a sample of the types of food rewards we will be offering. Please note, this selection rotates seasonally and not all items listed may be available. Reward selections rotate seasonally and may vary by location.

    Breakfast: Pancakes & Eggs, American Favorite, Power Breakfast, JUST Egg Benedict, Bison Huevos Rancheros

    Appetizer: 5 Buffalo Wings

    Lunch: Smash Burger, Pickle Fried Chicken Sandwich, Caesar Salad (No Chicken), Lemony Hummus Greek Salad

    Dinner: Thai Cauliflower Pasta, Lemon Chicken Piccata, Roasted Mushroom Bowl, Chicken Tender Entrée, Kid’s Entrée, Creekstone Farms Black Angus Meatloaf

    Dessert: Desserts (excluding seasonal desserts)

  • Diner Perks is scheduled to begin in mid-July. We will send out instore and email communication closer to the date of the launch.

MIGRATION FROM EAT WELL, DO WELL

  • Active members who migrate to Diner Perks will keep their unredeemed, unexpired $5 rewards. In addition, any member with 3 or more unexpired points will have a bonus $5 reward added to their Diner Perks account.

    Please note, we will not be able to transfer lifetime points. For members with 100+ lifetime points, you will automatically be invited to our highest tier: Chrome.

  • If you qualified for a Birthday Reward in July (by making 3 visits within a calendar year) we will transfer your July Birthday Reward to the new Diner Perks account. It will no longer be available on the Eat Well Do Well account after mid-July.

  • Parents of active Kids Club members will be invited to join the new Diner Perks family account using the parent’s email and phone number. Simply add your child as a secondary member to the account, identify them as a child and add their date of birth. We will continue to offer the same perks as the current Kids Club program: Free kid’s entrée after purchasing 5 kid’s entrees, free kid’s birthday entrée and kid’s dessert, collectible buttons and tattoos, and now more surprises.

  • No. While we will migrate basic information for all Eat Well Do Well accounts that have been active within the last two years, for privacy reasons, you will need to create a new Diner Perks account.

  • We are migrating your account information to transfer any unexpired $5 rewards and birthday reward. This also allows us to identify which Eat Well Do Well members automatically become Chrome members due to the visit history. 

  • You will need the email address and phone number you used for your Eat Well Do Well account. We also added a field so you can add your Eat Well Do Well account number.

    We will also require you to provide your First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth (for your birthday reward and to identify whether you are a kid’s club member).

  • To add additional family members, you need to add their name, relationship (spouse or child), and their date of birth. You can add up to 5 family members to your account. Sorry, the family account is only for immediate family members.  

  • Members will receive notifications via the primary account holder’s email and mobile app push notification. Family members can also receive these notifications by downloading the mobile app and using the primary account holders log-in information.

    Notifications can include special offers, point challenges (visits, spend, menu items), double point days and surprise and delight offers.

  • The mobile app gives members multiple advantages over the Smart Wallet and Phone Number look-up, including adding points (from a receipt), viewing your account history, ordering online, paying by gift card, viewing points challenges, and providing feedback about your experience, with the biggest advantage being all family members can have access to the account, rewards, and notifications (when they download the app).

  • To join our Diner Perks we require an email address and phone number. For individuals who prefer more privacy, we recommend signing up online at SilverDiner.com/diner-perks and using the Phone Number look-up or downloading the Smart Wallet option (like Apple or Google Wallet) onto your phone. Both have restricted access to phone contacts and location information.  

    Where the Smart Wallet beats the Phone Number look-up is immediate access to point balance, and active rewards – while still maintaining more privacy. Phone Number Look-up members will need to log-in to a website to view their point balance and active rewards.

CHECKING IN / EARNING A REWARD

  • Once you are registered, you can check in three ways:

    1. Give your phone number to the server

    2. Check in on your mobile app (EARN) and have the server scan the QR code

    3. Check in via your Smart Wallet and have the server scan the QR code

  • If you are ordering via Diner Perk’s mobile app, you’re already checked in. No additional work is needed. If you are ordering via the website, you will need to enter your account information before checkout.

  • You can enter your receipt into your mobile app or via the website (SilverDiner.com/diner-perks). Please note, you have three days to enter the information into your account of your points will be forfeited.

REDEEMING A REWARD

  • You unlock a reward every time you accumulate 150 points.

  • After you check in, order the menu item (reward). Once the item is ordered, the server will select the reward to redeem it. It will be deducted when you close your check.

  • The reward expires 90 days after it is earned.

  • No. You can only redeem one reward per check.

  • Yes. You cannot redeem multiple Diner Perks rewards and other discounts on the same check. Only one per check. Diner Perks rewards cannot be redeemed for alcohol, gift cards, service fees, delivery fees, tips, donations or employee meals.
