At that time, the "Retro Summer Giveaway" winners will be announced, including the grand prize winner of a two year lease on a 2003 Ford Mustang. The Silver Diner

By: (07/10/2003)

Small wonder then that the Silver Diner, which cropped up on Route 38 East several years ago, has drawn crowds practically since the day it opened. Bob presents a $5,000 check to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The funds raised included one dollar from the sale of every blueplate breakfast.

Receiving it on behalf of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the American Red Cross was Eileen Edam.

Also in the picture is John Henoud of the Youth at Risk Foundation in VB. John's first cousin Peter Hashem was aboard American Airlines Flight 11 when terrorists crashed it into the World Trade Center. Henoud began a fund in his cousin's memory and Silver Diner partnered with him.
